The most common tree nut allergies from my own personal research are the following: Cashews, almonds, pistachios, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, macadamia nut, and coconut. This is not a complete list of tree nuts.
Many products are processed on the same equipment as tree nuts therefore you should carefully read each label before consuming or serving. If a label says it has been processed on the same equipment that has processed tree nuts we DO NOT let Rory consume it. Some labels don't say anything about cross contamination in which we carefully read the ingredients.
* A peanut is not a tree nut, and is an allergy of its own.*
Gluten, I have found comes from the following: barley, oats, rye, spelt, and wheat. Almost everything has some form of gluten in it because a lot of manufactured food contains some form of wheat flour in it. There are alternatives to make gluten free food. Most of these alternatives are made from rice, corn, and tree nuts.
